We provide consumers with information about resources and supports available to enable them to make informed decisions about healthy ageing, independence and reablement.

Kaloma’s Home Care service can provide assistance to access other services you may prefer, if  available.  Often some assistance in the day to day household or personal tasks can mean the difference between being able to stay in your own home or having to move prematurely into an aged care facility. Alternatively you may be seeking a more extensive range of services.

Kaloma is licenced for 21 level 2 (low care level) and  and 4 level 4 (high care) home care packages.  The home care program is subsidised by the Australian government with differing funding for each of the levels of home care and is based on a budget.     Your services are budgeted and are dependent upon what level of home care you are approved for.   You receive a budget report each month and we are happy to e-mail this report to your representative as well.

The Commonwealth government is from 1st July 2014 implementing an assessment for an income tested fee to assess if clients have the means to pay the income tested fee. Refer to our ‘Costs’ tab for more information regarding fees.   The Commonwealth government will advise the home care package provider of the fees you have been assessed to pay in addition to the daily fee.  These funds are not retained by Kaloma but collected on behalf of the Commonwealth government and regarded as a contribution to your care.

Should the budget for you program not stretch to meet your service needs, you are able to purchase in additional services if you prefer. We pride ourselves on a quality service which helps you live the life you want to live.

Why Choose Kaloma’s Home Care Program

In January 2016 our 85 year old father moved into Goondiwindi after living on the family farm all his life.
Due to the many services available from the Kaloma Home Care Packages, he has been able to settle into his new life with ease.
It has allowed the family to have peace of mind knowing that his daily needs of personal care & house keeping are attended to by warm & caring staff from Kaloma.
I think Goondiwindi is very fortunate to have such a professional service available & Kaloma needs to be commended for the outstanding care it gives to all their clients here in town.
